Design Story:
The client came to me with a vision to create a significant pendent that would hang on her existing large diamond cut curb chain. We had a extremely flexible foundation to design and build from considering she wanted to use stones and metal from multiple items including an earring that had lost its mate, broken and worn out rings and loose stones from previous remodels and no longer loved pieces. This is how the process played out!
VISION BOARD
During our first meeting we discussed her vision and I inspected the jewels and pieces she wished to repurpose. This got the creative juices flowing!
CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT
In this particular case, the client didn't have a specific concept in mind so I developed quite a number of variations to work from:
Next came concept refinement. The client chose concept 8 as a foundation from which and we developed a few more refined variations before confirming the final classy and timeless design (see option one below!):
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
The next phase is the really exciting one for me- bringing this confirmed concept to life!
Step One: I removed all the stones from their existing settings and checked for any damages before giving them a thorough clean.
Step Two: I then melted all the metals and started forming the new shapes and settings! At this stage.
Step Three: I requested the client try the pendant on before gem setting began.

PRODUCT COMPLETION
Now it was time for the big reveal! The gorgeous gems were set before the bespoke piece was sent off for valuation. She was given a final clean and polish and an obligatory photoshoot before finding her way back to her forever home as an upgraded, refreshed and repurposed piece to be loved and used again.
I showed Erika what I liked and she went away and sketched a design which I was happy with and then she made this amazing pendant
